Under the scheme, financial assistance will be given to the orphaned children and widows. For the first time, along with Rs 1 lakh, Rs 2500 per month has been announced for the children till the age of 18 years.Under which every child of the state should get better education and health, for this, the state government has created a Rs 100 crore ‘Nehru Child Protection Fund’. Under this fund, Vatsalya Yojana has been implemented for the upbringing of children and later Samarth scheme has been implemented for their care.Facility for widows and their children under Women widowed due to coronavirus will also be paid ₹1 lakh immediately apart from ₹1,500 monthly pension for themselves and ₹1,000 per month for raising their children. They will also get ₹2,000 per child per annum towards the cost of school uniform and school books, as per the official release.Assistance For Children Orphaned by COVID-19Orphaned children will get these facilities, one lakh rupees will be provided by the government to the orphan children whose parents have died in Corona. After attaining the age of 18 years, financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be given to those children in one lump sum.
